Professional Experience
My current role as Project Coordinator requires supporting the Director and Managers in the delivery of projects across the range of activities for the Membership & Business Directorate.
This includes:
- Working on various projects simultaneously, including, for example; The Careers Fair, Mobile Careers Service, and the co-ordination of the National and Regional Officers activities.
- Performing various functions, as a proactive support to the Director, including:
* managing the diary
* sorting correspondence (including e-mail)
* making travel arrangements
* maintaining filing systems
* dealing with telephone and written enquiries
* recording all internal administration for the directorate
* arranging internal meetings; liaising with the events department to book rooms and deal with catering requirements
I have also worked as Administration Officer for the Environmental Crime Department of Enfield Council, which involved:
- Maintaining and updating the workplace database.
- Taking incoming calls.
- Working closely with local government bodies, MPs, and the Police.
A key aspect of my role involved dealing with public complaints, attempting at all times to deal with their concerns in a courteous and professional manner.

- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. I am always diplomatic in communicating with people on all levels. This is demonstrated in my role as Project Co-ordinator for the Institute of Physics, which often involves communicating externally, for example, dealing with member queries and complaints on a daily basis, as well as internally, dealing with various teams and departments within the company, including Finance, Events etc.
- Computer Literate - familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as HTML and CMS systems.
- The ability to prioritise multiple tasks and adapt quickly- it is imperative that I am able to easily adapt to working with different teams of people, in order to work on various projects, often simultaneously.
