L-3 Communication Systems West, Salt Lake City, Utah. USA 001-801-594-7000 2004 – Nov. 2009
Field Engineer
As a Field Engineer I was on call 24/7 to support our Satcom and network equipment around the world.
In some cases I managed a small team of I.T. Professionals covering a small network of up to 150 users or I was needed to setup a new secure VPN in Italy. Day to day operations meant monitoring network usage, software deployment or fiber installation and telephone installations as well. On a normal day I would test, repair, install RF Equipment, Network hardware, upgrade software, and address problems and concerns with users.
Key Contributions:
 Ability to manage a team as needed on an existing network or a new build, solve problems as needed and obtain necessary hardware and support.
 Versatility in my field to adapt to a changing environment and work with new people as needed.
 Continued to enhance and upgrade network, workstations and fiber/CAT5/6 lines for better performance as needed.
 Available 24/7 made me the “go to guy” for problems and concerns around the world, because of my dedication we provided a 99.8% up time for network resources in all locations.

L-3 COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS WEST, SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH USA 001-801-594-7000 2002 – 2004
Software Support/Data Center Technician
My first role for L-3 was both software support and Data Center Operations. I performed daily backups on our Unix Main Frame, restored files, worked on user accounts with Active Directory, repaired printers and installed job specific software for users as needed. I was part of a four man team supporting over 4,000 users in Salt Lake City, Utah. I went above and beyond the call of duty which in turn got me noticed for promotion into the Field Engineering department.

Flowserve Corporation, Lindon, Utah USA 2004
Data Center Engineer
To help pay for University I took this part time job working in the Data Center of Flowserve on the weekends. I maintained web applications, ran reports and updated the internal performance web site, if problems arose I would call the appropriate Administrator to help repair the problem over the phone. I also worked with vendors to install and upgrade our servers, run new fiber and CAT6 lines and monitor the office during non-business hours. I was only employed by flowserve for a few short months before moving to Las Vegas with L-3 in the Field Engineering Department.

COGOLINK WIRELESS LLC, PROVO UTAH, USA 2001 – 2002
Field Technician
I was called out to perform Wireless Site Survey’s for new customers and for new Access Points for our Wireless Broadband service. I would also install residential customers and small business customers with up to 7MBPS wireless internet over the 2.4GHz frequency. Sadly the cost to our customers and the quality of the service diminished and the company was then sold to a larger local Telecommunications company.
